About us
About Christchurch Angling Club
CAC is one of the longest established fishing clubs in the UK, having been founded in 1938. Our dedicated website has been designed to benefit our members and for those looking for more information about fishing opportunities in the local area and how joining CAC could benefit you.
We have some of the best fishing in the area for both coarse and game fishing enthusiasts. Our fisheries include some of the best stretches of the Dorset Stour and Hampshire Avon, including the famous Somerley Estate waters, which offer fantastic coarse lakes, coarse and salmon fishing on the river, trout fishing on Hamer Lake and brown trout fishing on the streams and carriers. The Club owns the fishing rights to many of its waters and we pride ourselves in investing in our waters, so that they continue to deliver excellent fishing for our members.
The Club is run by an elected committee, which is made up of our members. We have a dedicated office which is usually manned from 8am until noon, Monday to Wednesday and noon until 4pm on Thursday. Please contact us with any questions or suggestions you may have via email or telephone (answerphone available out of office hours).
