After a busy few weeks down at the lake we are delighted that the otter fencing is complete. This should protect our fish stock for many years to come and was funded entirely by our cash reserves. In addition, the car park has been improved and scalped, the top track (which is closed for winter to dry thoroughly) is now hard standing and the footpath down to the water from the main car park has also been upgraded to improve access.
It is vital that gates are made secure at all times (motion cameras are being fitted, anyone leaving a gate insecure will face disciplinary action).
More phases of work are planned in the near future, including a stocking programme and strategic lily planting. We are sure that under careful management the lake will evolve into a top class fishery.
