The committee have undertaken a review of our membership charges and considered how best to manage our anticipated expenditure and income during 2019. We have undertaken a considerable amount of work over this year which included replacing fences, improving fishery access and parking, plus stocking to our lakes. We have been able to obtain some grant assistance to enable this work to be completed but the club has to match any money provided on a like for like basis. In addition we have also added the renowned Todber Manor and FLE Ampfield fisheries to our portfolio this year for members to fish free of additional charge as part of membership.
Looking forward to 2019 we plan to continue this improvement and development and will continue to apply for grant monies as the opportunity arises. To this end we aim to have fishery plans in place that enable us to respond quickly to any opportunities.
To enable this work to continue and to meet our steadily increasing costs the committee have taken a decision to increase our fees and ticket prices for 2019. This is the first time for several years we have done this, as up until now we have managed to absorb the steadily increasing costs of fisheries we lease, undertake repairs and general maintenance of our fisheries, and complete much of the development works within our income. The increase in income generated will enable us to continue with our developments.
These changes will be effective from 1 January 2019 and will be placed online and included within your renewal package that is sent every year.
Thank you for being a member and we hope you will continue to enjoy your membership for the foreseeable future.
