Folks, after months of hard work the improvements at Wedgehill are entering their final stages. All lakes are reopened, just the freshly repaired bank on the middle lake remains closed whilst the ground dries out.
Topsoil has been laid and new platforms built where the banks have been strengthened. All car parks and the track between them have re-opened.
The bund on the top pond has been repaired which had leaked for many years.
In total we moved 17 bigger (12-15lb) carp from middle to top lake and 17 smaller carp from top to middle. Some silverfish were moved to distribute them evenly with larger perch and roach left as they were to provide good fishing for several species in all three.
Good catches are already being reported on all three lakes. Thank you for your patience throughout the work, we are sure it will be well worth the inconvenience once completed.
