Exchange Books

In addition to our excellent portfolio of waters we also have exchange permits with Eastleigh & District Angling ClubPortsmouth & District Angling Society and Godalming Angling Society. These enable our members access to their waters – including many stillwaters together with stretches of the Itchen, Upper Avon, Kennet and Wey.

Godalming Angling Society

From 1st January 2017 four exchange books for use by CAC members will be held at Apollo Angling, Marsh Farm, Milford. These must be obtained during shop hours with members needing to show their CAC membership cards and leave their name and phone number when signing out a book. They can either be returned to Apollo Angling within shop hours or taken to a nearby residential address, details of which are within the book. This is a residential property in Busbridge, approx 1 mile from Marsh Farm, where the book must be posted through the letter box. A key is required to access most waters and to leave the Marsh Farm compound outside of hours. This is supplied with the book and must be handed back with it.

Books can be reserved 24 hours in advance by calling Apollo Angling on 428885. This is designed to ensure you do not have a wasted trip, however, members reserving books and then not collecting them without cancelling risk being barred from reserving them in the future.

GAS control many miles of fishing on the River Wey – offering chub, barbel, roach, dace, trout and grayling.

They also have numerous stillwaters, including the famous Marsh Farm complex and Johnsons Lake at Enton – the latter holding the current British crucian record.

Eastleigh & District Angling Club

In total eight exchange books are available for use by CAC members to fish EADAC waters, located as follows:

x4 are held at Ringwood Tackle

x2 are held at Homestores Tackle, Swaythling

x2 are held by Riverside Kiosk, Fordingbridge

These must be obtained during shop hours with members needing to show their CAC membership cards and leave their name and phone number when signing out a book. With all these books are gate keys to enable access to some of the fisheries where the gates are locked. It is very important you ensure these keys are returned with the books as we will need to pay for replacements if lost and the cost will be passed on to you. Currently the replacement key cost is £11 so make sure there is a key with the book when you collect and return it.

EADAC control stretches of the Hants Avon, Kennet and Itchen offering a wide variety of running water opportunities.

They also control many stillwaters offering most coarse fish to specimen size.

Please remember it is a privilege to be able to fish the waters of other angling clubs and their rules and regulations must be adhered to without fail. The exchange books along with the other clubs websites give all the details relating to each water, familiarise yourself with them before you fish. Ignorance is not an excuse and any complaints could see you banned from using exchange books again.
