This Wednesday (24th) the EA will be at Winton to remove the fallen tree from the old river, just downstream of the white house. Those who have seen the tree in question will know it is huge and spans the whole river. It is likely that it’s removal will cause considerable disruption between the bottom […]
This Saturday (27th) sees the Crabtree Society holding an event at Wainsford. The water will remain open to members but is likely to be busier than usual. We hope our guests have a great day for their visit to this glorious estate lake to chase tench and wild carp using traditional tackle and methods.
Morning folks, do we have a chippy amongst the membership who’d be willing to help out restoring the hut at Ibsley? We would like to hang a couple of doors and make a few other carpentry repairs. A work party is pencilled in there for Saturday, and help would be hugely appreciated.
There is a film of algae across much of Shambles at Holtwood. At this stage we do not believe it is blue-green algae but are monitoring the situation closely. We’d ask all members to keep an eye out when visiting the complex and report any signs of distressed fish to the committee and the EA […]

The schemes are as follows: 1 – The introduction of a non-angling guest […]
