Harrow Pond
Coarse: 16 June to 14 April
About The Venue
This estate lake dates back to the 17th century and is a real step back in time. With its mature trees and dark silty water, its tranquil setting is a real treat. There is a mixture of mirrors and commons in this lake with the biggest going to the mid twenties and a few ghost carp as well. This pond can provide excellent sport floater fishing and the fish always give a good account of themselves. There is a shallow end where a stream feeds the lake running down to the deeper road end. We advise that there is no wading in this lake as the silt beds are very deep in places and only fish from fixed swims. Please note there is no night fishing on this water. Fishing is until one hour after sunset. A bit of a difficult water to find, but give it a go and you may be surprised.
Please note that swims are limited at the present time. Extensive works are planned for the pond in 2011 to restore it to its former glory.
