CAC fishing rights on both Harrow Pond and Upper Burgate have ceased with immediate effect.The loss of both waters was not down to any lack of action by the club, but in the case of Burgate the new owner has decided to sell the fishing rights for game fishing only. The Meyrick estate have accepted an offer from a  local individual willing to invest 50k+ on replacing the dam, de-silting and restocking the lake, with no investment  from the estate. The deal was completed some time ago without our knowledge and we were only formally told on Monday despite being Meyrick estate tenants for over 30 years.
