White Sheet Trout Fishery

About the venue
White Sheet is in Holt, which is close to Wimborne. The fishery consists of three lakes set in seven acres of stunning countryside. The lakes are on different levels and are spring fed by gravity overflow. There is a meeting hut adjacent to the middle lake, which has electricity and a kettle, which members are welcome to use ( take your own water though). The hut is convenient for shelter from the elements; a place to have your lunch; or to recount stories of the one that got away!

The lakes are normally stocked weekly with rainbows ranging in size from around the 2lb mark to…….well, that would be telling, but the biggest rainbow taken so far is over 10lb……..

The top lake ( Lodge ) contains some large brown trout and are a challenging quarry for the fly angler. Lodge Lake is also our catch and release lake at this venue (sporting ticket holders may only fish this lake). All three lakes may be fished on the standard two, three or five fish tickets. Prices of tickets are the same for Hamer Lake and are as follows:

Member prices are £12 for two fish; £15 for three fish; £20 for five fish; and £14 for a sporting ticket (take first two fish, then catch & release thereafter).

Guest ticket prices are £20 for two fish; £25 for three fish; £35 for five fish; and £24 for a sporting ticket.

Evening catch and release tickets are also available over the summer months priced at £6 for members and £10 for guests. These tickets are valid from 4.30pm and, like other tickets, are available from local tackle shops.

White Sheet also hosts regular fly casting sessions during the summer months on alternate Thursday evenings. These sessions are open to members and non-members alike. There is a nominal charge of £5 to cover use of the facility; tea, coffee and biscuits etc. Everyone is welcome and there is a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. Whether you’re a total beginner or an angler looking to improve, our coaches will be on hand to offer tips and instruction. Please ring the Club office on 01202 480009 or head game coach, Kevin Styles, on 07739 976346 for further details. See the Events Calendar for the 2013 dates starting in May.

Postcode Location: BH21 7DB (White Sheet Farm).
